The housing fund made local headlines in January, after it emerged it had been scammed via email out of €800,000. Following that, its director, Eric Rosin, left the housing fund by mutual agreement between him and the board of directors.

“Triggering this case is the right of preemption exercised in 2018 by the Fonds on a plot of land in a green zone, located in Heffingen and initially ogled by a buyer who had already signed an agreement,” the L’Essentiel article states. It added that the complaint was filed with the public prosecutor on 22 February.
