Those long, tiresome jaunts to the Arlon Ikea store may become a thing of the past as the Swedish furniture chain is rolling out an online store for the Belgian market.

“Ikea is taking advantage of the opening of its webshop to revamp its website,” the group said in a press release, adding “Ikea.be allows you to order no less than 7,500 articles for every room in the house, the largest interior design offer on the Belgian market.”

In 2017, Ikea Belgium recorded 15 million store visitors and 40 million website visits, a trend which has grown in recent years.

An Ikea spokesperson told our sister magazine Paperjam on Friday that the group was in talks with providers in Luxembourg for delivery and potential relay points. “Several options are being considered,” the spokesperson said.
