Getting involved: The government has launched an online survey, which can be completed until April 5, on potential programmes for foreign residents.
The public consultation is part of the National Action Plan for Integration and Against Discrimination organised by OLAI, Luxembourg’s reception and integration office, which is part of the family ministry.
The study seeks suggestions on priorities and proposed actions for 2013 and 2014 in areas such as two-way communication and community outreach between immigrants and residents, improving training and employment opportunities for foreigners, and fostering better social integration and intercultural dialogue.
The survey and all the explanatory documents are available in English on the OLAI website, a spokeswoman for the agency told Delano. The anonymous questionnaire takes about 10 minutes to complete.
OLAI will publish a summary report of the survey results on its website in May 2012, and the findings will then be reviewed by an inter-ministerial committee on integration.
