The graduating year group, which saw the election of the first black US president and the rise of the internet revolution, fêted the occasion with performances of music, song and speeches in front of the assembled family members.
ISL director Nicki Crush left the students with some wise words: “The world does not owe you anything, you make your own luck and success, you have to work hard and sometimes it’s boring but don’t expect anything from anyone, expect to do everything yourself and you may well be pleasantly surprised and finally, be happy and enjoy every day that comes.”
