However, when comparing the figures since January 2019, resident jobseekers actually increased by 351--something which Adem stated is “unusual”, given that normally the case is that employment improves between December and January. 

As of end-February this year, there were 15,508 people registered with Adem. In the same month, Adem declares over 2,500 new files were opened for resident jobseekers, or +26% comparing year on year.
