Club life: Léa Linster hosted 30 members and guests of the British Ladies Club at her Léa Linster Cusinière restaurant in Frisange on March 29.
Beautiful spring weather allowed the group to take drinks and lunch on the terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside, whilst chatting to the Michelin-starred chef (photo, right, with BLC honorary vice president Cynthia Albrecht).
The menu was perfectly suited to the season: a duo of amuse bouche, roasted cauliflower soup, risotto followed by a land-and-sea salad, and accompanied by Crémant and white wine from Léa’s vineyard in Remich. If that were not enough, Léa produced a tray of freshly-baked madeleines, still warm from the oven.
Moving inside to the kitchen, cookery school head Korbinian Wolf demonstrated how to cook the perfect crème brûlée, even allowing several guests the opportunity to test their skills with the blow torch and caramelise the desserts.
These provided a delicious finale to the meal, and surely no-one will be able to resist returning to the restaurant in the future.
