Only part of the restaurant staff will be reassigned, however, and management noted that the current circumstances were at the root of the decision. It was not a question of the quality of the team.

Whereas the situation was already very fragile following months of forced closure due to lockdown, there was little doubt that it would become even more difficult in light of the curfew imposed by the government last week.

Of the ten or so staff members, only half will be able to get reassigned to other tasks. The other half will inevitably be made redundant.

After the news that Manko--a Peruvian restaurant wtih food by chef Gaston Acurio--would not be coming to Royal Hamilius complex after all, La Pomme Cannelle's closure is just another example of the enormous difficulties currently encountered by Luxembourg’s gastronomic landscape.
