The not-for-profit has now evacuated a total of 20 patients since the start of the coronavirus health crisis.

According to a press release issued on Monday, the intensive care unit patients were flown to Dresden, Bremen and Hamburg, in Germany, and to Nîmes, France.

According to French national newspaper Le Figaro, by 4 April 4,702 people were hospitalised with covid-19 in the Grand Est region, of which 960 were in intensive care. Some 1,400 had died in health facilities making it the second most-deadly region for covid-19 in France after the Île-de-France.
