The Federation of Young Business Leaders (FJD) of Luxembourg has appointed Laurent Decker as its president for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.
Given the health crisis, FJD members held their general meeting via livestream. They appointed as president Decker, who is managing partner of Baucenter Decker-Ries.
His mandate will be based on three main axes, including the manager's responsibility to his employees and the company, and environmental responsibility. According to the FJD press release, young leaders in this area must "set an example and question the operating models of their company." Finally, his programme looks at the responsibility of policymakers towards entrepreneurs who require a fair and balanced framework in order for them to develop.
The FJD’s board of directors consists of Jean-Pierre Schmit (outgoing president), Laurent Decker (president), Georges Krombach (general secretary) and Tom Faber (treasurer). The management committee is made up of Claudine Bettendroffer, Muriel Morbé, Myriam Hengesch, Philippe Schmit, Philippe Heisbourg, Antoine Clasen and Gérard Thein.
The FJD has 568 members, 38% of whom are under 45 years old.
