mudam director steps down?
Mudam director Enrico Lunghi has resigned his post.
Radio 100,7 says it has the news from a reliable source, though neither the modern art museum or Lunghi was available for comment.
Less than an hour before the news broke on 100,7, Mudam’s press officer had sent out a communiqué saying that Lunghi would be joining Wim Delvoye at a public brunch celebrating the Super Cloaca machine designed by the Belgian artist.
Lunghi was under fire last month and forced to apologise after footage showed he had grabbed freelance reporter Sophie Schram by the forearm while she was filming an interview for RTL television. Schram had waited ten days after the incident before seeking treatment for the injury she claims she sustained. He has been the director of Mudam since 2009 and was previously the artistic director at the Casino contemporary art forum.
This article was updated. A previous version stated that Sophie Schram was a journalist with RTL. She is not an accredited journalist but a freelance worker.
