The gala ceremony in Vienna saw “Murer – Anatomie eines Prozesses” (Murer – Anatomy of a Trial) win the top gong for best feature film.

The film, co-produced by Paul Thiltges and Adrien Chef for Paul Thiltges Distributions, recounts the trial of Franz Murer, who was put on trial and in 1962, and later acquitted, for the killing of numerous Jews in Vilnius between 1941 and 1943 after an investigation by Simon Wiesenthal. The film also won the prize for best supporting actress for Inge Maux. Luxembourg crew including producer manager Solveig Harper worked on the production.

Another historical feature film, but with a totally different artistic approach, Amour Fou’s “Angelo” won 3 technical prizes for best costume, best décor and best make-up. Producers Bady Minck and Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu picked up the awards. The film co-stars Luxembourg actress Larisa Faber.
