A survey by TNS Ilres commissioned by RTL and the Luxemburger Wort published Monday found that half (49%) of voters trusted the current DP-LSAP-Déi Gréng coalition, while 48% trusted the opposition. Among the parties which held the most trust were the CSV with 56%, followed by the LSAP and Déi Gréng in joint second (48%) and DP (44%).

When compared with trust levels recorded when voters were polled in June 2015, it shows an improvement for the parties. However, compared to December 2013, when the coalition first took power on the back of the SREL scandal, trust levels still lag behind.

Conservative party ADR lost the most trust among voters while Déi Lénk also lost some points.

Optimism levels were also at a high among the 1,020 voters aged 18 and over who were polled. When it came to the economic situation and household finances, optimism levels reached a four-year high.
