Click on the soundcloud button to hear the tragic Romeo and Juliet-esque tale of Euphrosine and her young man from Stolzemberg.

This story, and more like it, were recorded by Luxembourg writer Dicks (Edmond de la Fontaine) in his 1882 book "Luxemburger Sagen an Legenden".

Whether there is any truth to the tale, readers can judge for themselves by visiting the ruins of Falkenstein castle, not far from Clervaux. Or take a stroll in the woods near Grevenmacher where a similar ghostly couple have been spotted.
