Luxair is looking to employ 18 pilots by next year, then 5 yearly on average over the long-term. Cargolux is also currently recruiting in Luxembourg, Italy and China.

A Boeing study revealed that the aviation sector will need to recruit some 637,000 pilots worldwide over the next 20 years.

Luxair, which operates 6 Boeing 737 and 11 Bombardiers Q400, currently employs 160 pilots.

Cargolux has a constant need for new pilots and will organise a “pilot roadshow” at the Milan Malpensa Airport on 4 September and at Roma Fiumicino on 5 September.
