Two weeks ago, it suggested it would resume business on 4 May.

“Since the past weeks, the accelerated spread of covid-19 and associated governmental measures, have a significant impact on the everyday life of all of us. The health and safety of our passengers and our people are always our top priority,” it wrote, justifying the decision.

The suspension applies for LuxairTours operations as well as Luxair flights. Luxair wrote:

“We are working closely with the official authorities at each of our destinations to ensure that we are always aligned with the latest official rules, guidelines and recommendations.”

Luxair has not operated flights since 24 March while LuxairTours stopped operating on 23 March as part of the country's lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
