Luxaviation acquired the stake when it bought ExecuJet Aviation Group in 2015 and is now selling it to Bombardier. The deal should close by the end of the year. The company did not reveal the value of the transaction.
Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services is a maintenance specialist for Bombardier business aircraft. Luxaviation last year sold its maintenance business to French aircraft company Dassault.
“The move is in line with Luxaviation’s strategic decision to focus on the experiential side of the luxury market,” the company said in a press release. Luxaviation in May finalised the acquision of a VIP terminal and ground operations at Paris’s Le Bourget Airport, which specialises in business traffic.
“Since acquiring ExecuJet in 2015, we have greatly expanded our customer journey portfolio and Luxaviation in now implementing a wide-ranging luxury strategy,” said Patrick Hansen, Luxaviation Group CEO in a statement.
In addition to the VIP terminal acquisition, Luxaviation has launched a fine wines experience segment and an end-to-end luxury travel packages service.
Luxaviation charters and manages private jets and helicopters while the ExecuJet division organises services such as flight clearances and inflight catering.
