The business has boomed during the pandemic, as wealthy and powerful people have sought alternatives to cancelled or more risky standard commercial flights. Modern private jets can be chartered to link any two locations worldwide.

This move suggests Luxaviation believe this appetite is set to grow, and they also have plans to open a New York hub before 2022, the company said on 29 March.

Luxaviation has 1,300 employees working in 26 airports globally.
