The patient, who was previously being treated in an intensive care unit in the Moselle Department (which border Luxembourg), was admitted to the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg late on Tuesday afternoon, the health ministry announced. They were brought by a specially adapted ambulance.

The gesture comes as intensive care beds approach saturation in France and Belgium. In Luxembourg, on Monday, there were 25 people in intensive care and 112 in normal care, according to government figures.
