According to the article, “The working visit was the latest in many ministerial visits that have taken place between Luxembourg and the UAE since 2005 and economic relations between the two countries have steadily developed since 2000.”

The ministers discussed the establishment of a joint commission between the two countries to explore bilateral cooperation opportunities in different economic sectors, including tourism, logistics and the space sector

“The commission forms part of the of the scientific cooperation agreement in the framework of the SpaceResources.lu initiative, signed in October 2017 between Luxembourg and the UAE, on the exchange of information and expertise in human resources, space science and technology, as well as legislation and space law,” the article stated.

The highlight of the Grand Duchy's bilateral cooperation with the UAE in the coming years will be Luxembourg's participation in the World Expo in Dubai in 2020, where more than 25 million visitors are expected.

During the working visit to Luxembourg, HE Sultan bin Saeed Al-Mansoori also had several interviews at the chamber of commerce and visited the Freeport facilities at Findel, as well as the site of the satellite operator SES in Betzdorf.
