- The CEO of Luxembourg for Finance, Nicolas Mackel, recently estimated that an additional 3,000 jobs would be created in Luxembourg as a consequence of Brexit. In an interview, he explained that most of these would be recruited locally. The finance minister, Pierre Gramegna, had said before the summer that it would be hundreds, rather than thousands of new jobs.

- The new study “Household debt burden and financial vulnerability in Luxembourg”, published by Luxembourg Central Bank, shows that the percentage of indebted households has decreased from 58.5% in 2010 to 54.6% in 2014, but their debts have on average increased, mainly because of high mortgages.
