Visors not masks: Luxembourg’s government has included several amendments as it extends the country’s covid-19 law until the end of the year. These include more detail on what constitutes a mask. Buffs, hand-made fabric masks, bandanas and PPE (surgical) masks remain acceptable but visors alone are not considered an effective barrier.

This revelation comes after Metaform Architects in March published guidelines for 3D printing visors, prompting people to print thousands of the visors at the start of the crisis. The pair discussed the issues this new clarification raises and surrounding the compulsory wearing of masks in general.

Policing the dark net: Plans were outlined this week for the Luxembourg police force to create a unit specialised in investigating darknet activities. The journalists explained the country’s approach to digital defence and cybersecurity in general.

Sex education: To mark world sexual health day on 4 September, the journalists examined the situation of sexuality education in Luxembourg, the progress that has been made and the work still to be done in relation to educating adults as well as young people.

To round off the section, Delano highlighted some of the the things to do over the next week in Luxembourg, including:
