The British Embassy in Luxembourg and the British Chamber of Commerce were among those publicly congratulating Sophie Kerschen on being awarded an MBE in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours List. The embassy says she was awarded for “services to UK/Luxembourg commercial and business relations” during the 20 years she served with the British Chamber.

The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire rewards contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service.

Past recipients of awards in the Honours List including honorary president of the British Ladies’ Club Cynthia Albrecht, former head of the Telstar Scouts Chris Garratt, former chair of the British Chamber Chris Vigar and head of the Luxembourg Royal Air Forces Association Brian Darke.
