Miller was the lead claimant in a successful legal challenge that required the UK government to seek approval from the British parliament to implement Brexit.

She is known in the financial industry as a co-founder of SCM Direct, which is based in London and focuses on diversified portfolios and transparent fees.

The company has begun the process of changing its SCM Absolute Return Portfolio fund into a Luxembourg Ucits, Miller told Delano on 31 January.

She added: “As a digital investment manager Brexit will have little impact on use; especially as [we’ve been] Mifid II compliant since 14 November” (as reported by Citywire).

Miller did not answer Delano’s subsequent questions about the anticipated timing of the switch and the firm’s staffing plans for Luxembourg.

Several UK asset managers are reflagging funds or setting up subsidiaries in Luxembourg and other EU financial centres to maintain access to the European single market.
