Most people know her as Princess Leia but Carrie Fisher was also an amazing writer whose work I fell in love with in my twenties.

I read her novels “Surrender the Pink”, “Delusions of Grandma” and “Postcards from the Edge” in quick succession - the latter was made into a film starring Meryl Streep.

I still remember the experience of reading them and wishing I could write prose with the wit and insight she packed into her pages.

Now I'm a writer of humor, fiction and memoir, still feeling the loss of the late, great Carrie Fischer. May the Force Be With You, Carrie.

Devorah Blachor moved to Luxembourg in 2015 where she wrote “The Feminist’s Guide to Raising a Little Princess”. Her novels include “Farbissen” and “Fakakt”, her articles and essays have been published in a number of publications and she produced and directed the award-winning documentary “Waiting for Quds”.
