Since 2017, Françoise Poos has been a researcher in visual culture and curator of photographs. Since 2016, the 55-year-old has also served as chair of the board of the Edward Steichen Award Luxembourg. Previously also worked, via the CNA on The Bitter Years book and curated an exhibition at Mudam titled “Bloom! Experiments in Color Photography by Edward Steichen”.

On the announcement of her new role, Poos stated she was committed to Luxembourg art projects and the intersection with other cultures and suggested residencies could be a mainstay of this goal.

"The development of artist residencies is one of the highlights of the new cultural development plan,” Poos said in the communiqué. “Neimënster has the experience and the necessary infrastructure to offer a quality welcome. This practice only needs to be extended and strengthened.”
