After an extraordinary meeting of cabinet on Saturday afternoon, prime minister Xavier Bettel (DP) and health minister Paulette Lenert (LSAP), in a joint press conference, announced the opening of an additional coronavirus testing centre.

A statement by the ministry of health on Sunday specified that the centre would open at noon on Monday and would be open every day, including weekends, from 10 am to 5 pm. The testing station, situated at 31 Boulevard Konrad Adenauer, in an annex of the former national library, offers walk-in tests without appointment, but only for patients who have a medical prescription. The ministry of health also reminded that children under the age of 6 should not get tested.

In addition to this new location in Kirchberg, there are currently 7 other testing stations situated across Luxembourg.
