According to public radio 100,7, Luka Heindrichs said although they had an agreement with the Fonds de Kirchberg for 5 years to use the site, the farmers which use the 25 hectares, refused to yield on giving the festival 5 hectares because they wanted to plant crops. Furthermore, there were issues on setting a date for 2018.

Therefore, the organisers, all volunteers, pinned their hopes on 2019.

The agreement foresees that a date for the festival is blocked 18 months in advance, Heindrichs said, and that they had not been able to do that for 2018, because they wanted to see whether 2017 would be a success. They now have asked to block a date for 2019.

In 2017, over 6,000 tickets were sold for the food for your senses festival.
