A petition has been submitted for signatures to make public transport free for unemployed people. Maison Moderne

People who have been unemployed for a year or more should get free access to public transport, it suggests.

The petition states that unemployed people have little means and that they should have free public transport to get to job interviews or to register once a month with the employment agency (Adem).

A petition needs to collect 4,500 signatures for it to be debated in parliament. Anyone legally registered in Luxembourg aged 15 or over may sign a petition in Luxembourg.
