The 2017 Duck Race raised €84,000, which is €21,000 more than last year’s edition yielded.

The funds came from the sale of 16,000 plastic yellow duckies, which were raced down the Pétrusse river on 29 April.

Owners of the first 50 ducks that crossed the finish line won donated prizes, including a Volkswagen Up, concert tickets and dinners for two.

In June, Round Table Luxembourg, the voluntary group that organises the annual event, donated €21,000 each to the charities Les Petits Nicolas, Friendship Luxembourg, Action Avenir Haïti and Action pour un Monde Uni.
