After opening a subsidiary in Switzerland at the beginning of May 2020, Quintet Private Bank is opening a branch in Copenhagen on 5 October for the Danish market. By opening up this new market, the Luxembourg private banking group intends to meet the needs of Danish families and individuals in terms of wealth management.

Quintet has included in its strategy to expand geographically. Now present in northern Europe, the bank plans to expand into neighbouring Scandinavian countries.

The Danish branch will be headed by Henrik Wyrwik, who has 20 years’ experience in Danish management companies. He will report to Soren Kjaer, CEO Nordics and Luxembourg, who oversees the group's business operations in Luxembourg and the Nordic countries.

Also a Danish national, Kjaer previously held the position of Nordic Region Director for UBS Wealth Management and Denmark CEO for UBS.

Jakob Stott, Group CEO of Quintet, who was also born and raised in Denmark, said he saw “enormous potential in expanding our highly personalised approach to wealth management in the Scandinavian countries, where the independence of spirit and entrepreneurship are part of the DNA”.

Now focused on northern Europe, the Luxembourg bank also recently launched a Nordics desk in Luxembourg. It provides services to Nordic nationals who reside in countries where Quintet does not have a physical presence, who wish to speak with an advisor in their mother tongue or are looking for typically Luxembourgish solutions and business structures (like life insurance).
