WHO rapid testing plan

The World Health Organization outlined plans to provide 120m rapid covid-19 tests to low- and middle-income countries. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO’s director general, said during a press conference on Monday: “These tests provide reliable results in approximately 15 to 30 minutes, rather than hours or days at a lower price with less sophisticated equipment. This will enable the expansion of testing, particularly in hard-to-reach areas that do not have lab facilities or enough trained health workers to carry out PCR tests.” Sources: Associated Press, The Guardian and Reuters.

US rapid testing plan

Donald Trump said the US government would distribute 150m rapid coronavirus tests to care homes and other facilities “in the coming weeks”. His vice president, Mike Pence, warned that the number of covid-19 cases in the US would rise “in the days ahead”. Sources: CNBC, CNN and Reuters.

New Netherlands restrictions

Apple v Epic Games case sees virtual inside of courtroom

Google to take 30% app fee

LVMH strikes back Tiffany’s
