Sport: Under-13 rugby players descend on Cessange this weekend for the 9th annual J.P. Morgan international tourney.
The J.P. Morgan International U13 rugby tournament, hosted by Rugby Club Luxembourg, will be held this Saturday in Cessange.
The ninth edition sees 12 teams--from the Grand Duchy, Belgium, Ireland, France and the Netherlands--compete for first, second, third place and fair play trophies.
“This is an important tournament for us as it is a benchmark in the region and one of the rare moments where RCL can compete with other European rugby teams,” RCL U13 coach Paul Sweetnam told the press this week. “We did really well last year in winning the event and we are looking forward to defending our title this year.”
In addition to the matches, the club is organising family-friendly activities for spectators and supporters, including a barbecue, on site bar and entertainment for younger children.
The tourney takes place Saturday April 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Stade Boy Konen.
