Charles Jean Philippe Joseph Marie Guillaume was born at Grande-Duchesse Charlotte maternity hospital on 10 May 2020 at 5:13am.

Prince Charles weighed 3.19kg and measured 50cm.

“The crown princess and her child are both doing well,” the lord chamberlain stated in an announcement on Sunday. “The crown prince and the crown princess look forward to introducing him to the people of Luxembourg.”

The Luxembourg Army will hail the birth of Prince Charles with 21 canon shots fired off Fort Thüngen, the prime minister’s office said on 10 May.
