The memorandum of understanding concerns cost sharing for maintenance and storage operations of the United States Air Force Europe at the Sanem-based depot.
According to a press release, Luxembourg has committed to fund the corresponding project costs for a period of ten years to the tune of €225 million. A financing bill will be introduced in parliament.
“As a follow on to the first memorandum of understanding signed in 1978, the new memorandum of understanding reinforces our mutual commitment to our alliance,” the government wrote.
