School’s out for the summer for 34 students at St George’s International School in Luxembourg, who marked their graduation at a ceremony on Friday.
The group, who represent some 15 different nationalities, were joined by teachers and parents in the auditorium where they reflected on their school careers and looked to what lay ahead in the future.
The year 13 students expect to take up places at the University of Cambridge, Aarhus University, Denmark, University of Aberdeen, University of Bath, dBs Music Berlin Studios, UCL, Durham University, Leiden University, Netherlands, University Warwick, Imperial College London, University of Southampton and University of New South Wales, Sydney, among others.
The ceremony was also the last for chairman of the board of governors Chris Cheesman, who is set to retire later in June. He will be succeeded by Phillip Charlton for the 2019-2020 school year.
