Luxembourg’s only female cricket team, the Optimist Maidens, is seeking a new logo that illustrates national pride and the sport alike.
The Optimist Maidens returns to the sport scene after success in years past and is seeking to redefine its image.
The all-female cricket club has put out a call for creative individuals to volunteer their services and provide the team with a new logo. The Maidens hope to stimulate awareness of women’s cricket by instilling a new identity and undergoing a ‘renovation’.
The search for a new team identifier will be promoted through a competition of sorts, a winner will be chosen and his/her design will feature as the team’s logo for the start of the 2014 season.
An important pointer to prospective entrants--the design must include the Luxembourg flag as a sign of national identity, a cricket bat, a ball and cricket stumps to illustrate the sport itself.
With deadlines for entry marked for February 28, designs, scanned or sent in photographic format in maximum 1 mb file size, must be speedily emailed to the team. Designers should include contact details with their entry. Send them to: [email protected].
