The shopping centre, dubbed Borders, opened on Wednesday when shoppers were able to browse Belgian chain Delhaize, and other brands such as Acuitis, Milady, Elch Drénken, United Colors of Benetton, Voyages Emile Weber, coiffeur Beim Figaro, Florathéik and K-Kiosk.

A number of shop spaces have yet to find tenants. The project cost €30m, generating 120 jobs in the new shops, of which 50 are at Delhaize.

An on-site car park provides 200 spaces.
