Companies in the last four GVS events have secured funding of over $25M USD. The summit is structured to focus on insights from high-profile venture capitalists, and also on funding! Deal rooms will be set up during the summit to fulfill this purpose. Good ideas don’t just come out of Silicon Valley, and GVS seeks to support the best business ideas, startups and entrepreneurs coming out of innovative markets across the globe.

Global Ventures Summit is arriving to Luxembourg in November, hosted for the first time in Europe. Why did you choose Luxembourg? What do you expect out of the summit?

The first event is scheduled for the 19/20/21st of November in Belval Luxembourg, and the objective is to hold the summit in Luxembourg on a yearly basis until at least 2022. The goal of GVS Luxembourg is to expose seasoned Silicon Valley VCs to the European startup ecosystem, with a particular focus on Luxembourg as a core startup hub and a super-connected financial hub. At GVS Luxembourg, we hope to see over 10 deals with over $50M in value between startups, venture funds, and limited partners. The way it is planned, GVS Luxembourg, should attract over 2500 participants from over 50 countries. Parkpine Capital is excited to partner with the whole Luxembourg ecosystem on the first GVS in Europe.

Can you give us some more details on the Venture Capitalists attending, the speaker lineup, and the business possibilities for the startups attending GVS Luxembourg?

Attending GVS is the chance for startups to meet hundreds of powerful investors from around the world, to pitch their ideas and solutions for the chance to gain funding, investment and mentoring support. We have the privilege to welcome as guests Mr Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of Luxembourg and Mr. Pierre Gramegna, Luxembourg Finance Minister. GVS attendees will also include major US funds such as Kleiner Perkins, Draper Nexus, Prtizker Group, Microsoft Ventures, HTC Ventures and many more. Some other high profile speakers include Snoop Dogg, Partner at Casa Verde; Lisa Jackson, Apple's vice president of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives, and member of Apple's executive team; Eric Bielke, Director at GE Ventures; Alex Estevez, Partner at Accel Partners; Tim Chae, Partner at 500 Startups; Rajaa Mekouar-Schneider, President of LPEA; Alexander Tkachenko, CEO of VNX, and many more.
