Armacell stated in a press release issued on 14 June:

“As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Armacell is supporting the Luxembourg federation’s participation in the 2019 Summer Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi. This event will bring together more than 7,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities. Armacell will especially support the tennis team and be actively involved in the federation’s 40th anniversary.”

According to the Special Olympics website:

“Special Olympics is a global organization that serves athletes with intellectual disabilities working with hundreds of thousands of volunteers and coaches each year. Since the establishment of Special Olympics in 1968, the number of people with and without intellectual disabilities who are involved with the organization has been growing, but the unmet need to reach more people with intellectual disabilities is staggering.”

The NGO’s Luxembourg branch was founded in 1979.

Armacell donated €5,000.
