As announced on Wednesday, Spire received the “Data Solution of the Year - Transportation” award by the indepdent market intelligence organisation.

The US-based company--which also has a base in Luxembourg--is a space-to-cloud service which uses the largest multi-purpose satellite constellation to provide data and analytics in a variety of applications. “Dynamic AIS from Spire Global solves the growing data gap problem and delivers more unique Maritime Mobile Service Identities volumes--it’s an incredible achievement wholly achieved through data and analytics,” said James Johnson, Data Breakthrough managing director.

Peter Platzer, Spire CEO, said the team was “honoured to be able to put our resources and innovation to use for the maritime industry.”
