Headlining the festival will be AnnenMayKantereit, de Läb Orchästra and Goat while groups such as Allah-Las, WhoMadeWho and Scarred will also be taking the stage.

The musicians, spanning various genres from hard rock to reggae to jazz, will perform from 4-6 August on a huge, secluded field next to the Boulevard Pierre Frieden in Kirchberg.

The three headliners, alone, have very different music styles. AnnenMayKantereit is known as one of the most successful German rock bands who also played as the opening act of FFYS in 2014. The notorious rap duo of de Läb will be accompanied by a classical music orchestra, exclusively for FFYS. And Goat is a mysterious heavy Swedish psychedelic doom rock band that will bring something altogether different to the table.

The festival is much more than just music, though. There will be exhibitions and installations such as theatre, comedy, poetry, circus and magic acts, workshops, art and more. In fact, there’s something for just about everyone at the festival, including a special area for kids as well as a family focused day on Sunday the 6th. 

FFYS will also offer food and drinks ranging from the traditional grill and fries to the new “Food Explorer Tent” where festival-goers can try dishes from Iraq, Rwanda, India, Afghanistan and Syria.

The event is organised by Food For Your Senses asbl and 40 volunteers who work throughout the year to plan the festival. An additional 100 volunteers will come out to help while the event is going on.

For those heading to the event without a car, the Ville de Luxembourg has arranged for shuttle buses to be more accessible that weekend and will drive increasingly from the central station and the city centre to the festival site and back, even late at night. This will be offered free of charge on Saturday and Sunday.

Additionally, these buses can be used to reach the CFL night trains to the South and the North on Friday and Saturday as well as around 20 regular and free of charge “late night buses” heading to more than 150 villages across the country.

Or, if you’d rather stay in the area for the weekend, there are designated camp sites: one for people who like it quieter at night and another for people who never want the party to stop. There’s also a designated area for camper vans, or if camping just isn’t your style, there are a lot of hotels around Kirchberg.

Three day passes for the event, including camping, are €75 plus presale fees. After 3 July, single day tickets can be purchased for €32 or for €40 at the box office. Presale tickets can be purchased at www.ffys.lu or in various shops all over Luxembourg.
