Students get free public transport
From 1 August, students have free access to public transport in Luxembourg.
However, some students have not yet received their student registration for the 2017/2018 academic year. It has been agreed by the ministries of sustainable development and of education that registrations for the previous year or semester are also accepted for the transition period of the holidays. Students can thus travel for free from 1 August to 31 October.
Students who start their studies this autumn and who have attended a school in Luxembourg can still travel for free with their “myCard” which is valid until 30 September 2017.
Students can download the form on www.mobiliteit.lu and need to submit it, along with their university registration form, at the Mobilitéitszentral in Luxembourg or Esch-Belval train station, or send it to the Verkéiersverbond.
