Kanner Wonsch (Children’s Wish) surprised little Sharleen and her mother when they presented them with a brand-new Triobike on 28 September.
“Her mother had a hard time holding back her emotion. This was a total surprise for Sharleen and her family, who were only expecting to come to support the association,” Kanner Wonsch wrote in a press release.
Sharleen suffers from shaken baby syndrome and spent most of the long hot summer indoors. The bike, which has a basket where Sharleen can sit at the front, was suggested to allow mother and daughter to enjoy long rides in the forest and “feel the sun on her face and the wind in her hair.”
Kanner Wonsch, which started out as “Make A Wish Luxembourg”, is a charitable organisation granting the wishes of children and young people with life limiting illnesses.
