The Luxembourger, who was elected in July 2019, quit Luxembourg’s Demokratesch Partei in January and will continue her role as an independent member of the Renew Europe group.

RTL said that Semedo had followed debates online since her suspension on 18 January and maintains the right to vote in plenary sessions.

Semedo has not yet commented publicly on the bullying case.
