Following action by Belgium and Germany at the end of last week, Switzerland has once again placed the grand duchy on a list of at-risk countries.

Anyone, including children, who arrives in Switzerland from Luxembourg will now have to immediately go to their home or accommodation and report their arrival to the cantonal authority within two days. They must then stay in their home or other suitable accommodation without going out for 10 days after arrival in Switzerland.

Those in quarantine must also avoid contact with other people and follow other quarantine instructions. The Swiss federal office of public health says that a negative test result does not provide exemption from the mandatory quarantine requirement “because a negative test result does not rule out an infection with the new coronavirus.”

Belgium, Denmark and the UK are among the other countries and territories that have been added to the Swiss high risk of infection list.
