On, the Swiss running shoe manufacturer, will use Luxembourg as its logistics base for Europe on-running.com

The announcement was made at a ground-breaking ceremony on Tuesday 3 September for Kuehne + Nagel’s new logistics centre. The project which will provide 20,000 square metres of space, with the possibility to extend up to 30,000 square metres. It is expected to enter into operation during the second half of 2020.

“Given the growing demand for pan-European logistics services for dynamic companies like On, Kuehne + Nagel Luxembourg is positioning itself more as a supplier managing the entire value chain in Europe. Innovative digital solutions deployed in all the different business units of Kuehne + Nagel enable us to meet this growing demand,” Kuehne + Nagel BeLux managing director Tobias Jerschke said in a press release.

Kuehne + Nagel has been present in the grand duchy since 1970. It currently employs 200 people. Logistics is considered among the key sectors of the national economic diversification strategy.
