It is possible that you have just arrived and don’t really know what you want to do next in terms of career. In this case, why not take a look at temping?
According to Andrew Notter of Badenoch & Clark: “Temporary work can be a good option for someone moving to Luxembourg who is looking to gain and develop local experience. A short term flexible contract can also open the door to a permanent opportunity.”
To start with, Notter suggests contacting a reputable recruitment company. As we mentioned before, this is really important in order not to waste your time and effort. “Using a specialist recruitment consultancy is very useful as they possess up-to-date knowledge of the employment market and have connections with employers in Luxembourg.”
Also, “don’t apply everywhere without any clear direction,” he says. “Seek advice and
recommendations before applying to job advertisements.”
Get out there too, Notter suggests. “Network and speak to as many people as possible to understand how and why they successfully integrated into Luxembourg. Build a good
social network and enjoy the difference that Luxembourg offers you.”
