Workplace stress and burnout risk are on the rise in Luxembourg, according to a 2016 chamber of employees survey. It showed the risk of burnout rose from 16% in 2015 to 23% the following year. Among the causes respondents listed were excessive workloads, lack of autonomy and taking work home.

The problem has reached such acute levels that last year it prompted the creation of a petition calling for the right to switch off. The petition did not achieve the 4,500 signatures required to trigger a parliamentary debate. However, the problem persists, impacting worker health, their family relations and, ultimately, the economy.

Delano is seeking to gather its own data on workplace stress and burnout. This information will be presented at the next Delano Live and all data will be treated confidentially.

All participants are invited to the next Delano Live event at Knokke Out, Rives de Clausen, at 6:30pm. Please enter your email address in the last tab of the questionnaire in order to register your attendance.
