Speaking in a televised press conference on Friday afternoon, the LSAP minister said that the decision remained at the discretion of owners of sports halls, be they private owners or communes. Judo halls will remain closed, however.

On a public level, the sports lycée will resume sports activities from 18 May, unlike all other public schools where sports classes have been abolished. Strict terms will be applied to minimise contact.

All outdoor sports are permitted, the minister said, provided there is no physical contact, competition or public.

A full list of the 32 permitted sports can be viewed here.

Sports clubs could also restart training from 11 May, provided there is no physical contact and hygiene measures are respected.
