The theme for the third ever TedXLuxembourgCity event is “uncaging possibilities”, which is highly appropriate given that its chosen venue, the Abbaye de Neumünster, used to be a prison.

The TedXLuxembourgCity team has lined up 10 of the region’s leading thinkers, innovators, disrupters, artists and entertainers representing such diverse fields as space exploration, charity, design, human rights, music and entertainment, among others. They include some who will be familiar to readers of Delano such as a BMX world champion and a teenage coder who has set up his own company.

“A Tedx event is as much about the attendees as it is the speakers” says Dirk Daenen, curator of TedxLuxembourgCity. “Attendees are the people who will take the ideas presented and be the catalysts for change and progress in our community.”

Daenen applied for and received the licence for the Luxembourg City event after hosting a successful event in Brussels and then organising three consecutive university license events in the city of Wiltz.

TedxLuxembourgCity, sponsored by Deloitte and ING, has already attracted close to 10,000 “interested” guests on its Facebook page.

Tickets will be available shortly at €55 each and can be booked via the event’s website at www.tedxluxembourgcity.org.
